Beyoncé The Queen Bey and her love for bold statements

Beyond baby announcements, the pop singer has always put up dramatic statements in her performances as well as with her album and single releases.

On Wednesday, February 1, 2017 as many pondered where January went, Beyoncé took to Instagram to share a picture that shook social media networking sites.

In one picture captioned with three sentences - the Queen Bey revealed she and her husband Jay-Z were expecting twins.
Dressed in a maroon bra, blue knickers and covered in a lime veil, the award-winning American singer assumed a kneeling position in a bed of flowers with her hands around her baby bump.

In 16 hours, the image has gathered 7.5 million likes and over 370,00 comments.  Fans and other celebrities jubilated on social media at the singer's announcement.
Her picture is currently the most liked Instagram picture in history as it beat beat American singer Selena Gomez’s image of her drinking a bottle of Coca-cola which has 6.3 million likes.
This news of her pregnancy spilled over to Twitter and in 45 minutes following Beyoncé’s announcement, there were half a million tweets about it.

Beyoncé is a PR machine

With a simple image she caused quite a quake on social media. Beyoncé sure knows how to make an entrance into a party and she makes sure she makes her statement when no one is expecting it.

In 2011 when she was expecting her first child, Blue Ivy the singer made her announcement while performing at MTV VMAs. As she opened her performance, she said: “Tonight I want you to stand up on your feet, I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside of me.” No one really caught it the end of her performance of ‘Love on top’ when she dropped her mic and opened up her blazer to expose a growing bump.

Beyond baby announcements, the pop singer has always put up dramatic statements in her performances as well as with her album and single releases. She loves to keep people guessing and enjoys surprising them.
