Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson discussed his faith, favorite Bible verses, and qualifications for president in a recent interview.
In an interview with Fox News “The Kelly File,” Carson said that his experience ranges beyond that of medicine.
"Perhaps a lot of people don't know this, but I've actually done in things in my life other than
medicine. I have decades of experience on corporate boards," Carson stated. He went on to mention his experience on the boards of Costco, Kellogg and Vaccinogen, as well as his experience launching a national non-profit.
Carson also stated that, although he has experience in other fields than medicine, his work saving the lives of young children is what he is most proud of.
"Of all the things I have been involved in, the one that I cherish most, is being involved in saving the lives of young children."
The Christian Post reports that Carson, unlike fellow Republican presidential candidate
Donald Trump, had no qualms about revealing his favorite Bible verses.
Carson recited Proverbs 3:5-6 and Proverbs 22:4 which states, “With humility and the fear of the Lord, that is where life and riches come from.”
Carson went on to state that he believed he is different from Trump because he recognizes where his successes come from and he values his faith in God.
Trump is still leading the polls with 32 percent of the vote, but Carson has quietly moved into second place, with 19 percent.
