Britain’s fattest man dead: Carl Thompson dies aged 33 only weeks after pleading for help on live TV

A 33-year-old, dubbed Britain’s Fattest Man, has died.
The Kent Messenger reports that Carl Thompson, who weighed 65 stone, passed away this morning.
He featured on ITV’s This Morning earlier this year, and revealed doctors had said he would die unless
he shed 45 stone.
Mr Thompson said he consumed around 10,000 calories a day.
He admitted: ‘I love all food and will eat anything.’
In May Mr Thompson issued a poignant warning, stating: ‘Don’t eat junk food all the time or you’ll end up like me.’
A police spokesman said: ‘Officers do not believe the death to be suspicious. The coroner will be notified.’
Neighbour Ronald Williams told The Kent Messenger the operation to remove Mr Thompson’s body had taken emergency crews several hours.
