Zuly Sanguino was born with a rare congenital disorder that affected all of her limbs called Phocomelia. It is a condition where the limbs are
underdeveloped, the hands and feet can be close to
the torso of the body, and may be small, stunted, or not there at all.
Zuly was born into a life of extreme poverty in Colombia. Doctors said she would not be able to even lead anything resembling a normal life. Zuly’s
mother however did not listen, and proceeded to teach her daughter to struggle for as much independence as she could achieve.
As you will see in the video Zuly has done wonderfully, she is very
independent, and has become quite an achiever. She is a very gifted artist, motivational speaker,
environmental activist, and incredible inspiration to all people who are struggling with life’s challenges.
