MEET TRAFFINA FOUNDATION



Every second we take action in changing lives
We take action and change lives, as we work in the rural communities supporting indigent women and children
and young people of all ages that needs the support.

In Goto village near Bwari- Abuja, Manma was dying of hunger and poverty, no medical treatment, no food and
helpless. Very old and still living. But Traffina helped manma, gave her the needed medical attention for good
health and she is now responding and life has changed for Mama.

How we change lives and make it worth living
Through public health communication on girls education and development Community mobilization and
sensitization on Maternal/Child Mortality and safe motherhood, HIV/AIDS, TB, Malaria and other diseases.
Preventing maternal and child mortality through quality health education, fighting against harmful cultural
practices that women engage in, during pregnancy and delivery periods.
Supporting pregnant women to be enrolled in ANC
Supporting HIV positive pregnant women to be enrolled in PMTCT to achieve a free HIV/AIDS generation.
Provision of Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) during outreach programs
Distribution of Insecticide treated nets to pregnant women, in-school children with boarding facilities and
families in the
Military Barracks
Free Medical Care/Treatment support for young people, Orphans, Women and the marginalized group
Hygienic education for In and out of School for Young girls.
Educating the mothers on the harmful effect of Female genital mutilation
Sensitization programs against Drug and Child abuse
Promotion of sexual reproductive health education and development
Capacity Building of young people on ASRHR

How we have tried
What Traffina Foundation does is what sets her apart for good, with limited resources:
2000 women in Nigeria having better orientation on the need for Ante-natal / post natal care services and
putting to an end cultural harmful practices they engage in during pregnancy and childbirth.
5000 women, men, young people and children have accessed health services in three states of Nigeria
1000 young girls trained on good sanitary hygiene.
500 pregnant women protected from malaria in 4 states of Nigeria
746 women and young girls empowered on gender equality, human rights and reproductive rights in 4 states
250 youths have access and informed on sexual and reproductive health communication and development.
